Eagles Golfing Society of New Zealand Inc

Established in 1964. We are a charitable society and our members are involved in and support the Halberg Disability Sports Foundation, Junior Golf, visiting clubs and fellowship of members READ MORE.

  • EAGLES HISTORY

    After the Auckland Winter Championship in June 1956, 9 men felt that they should be putting something back into golf. As there was no "Junior Golf", only caddies, the need was evident. The objects were to "promote golf and good fellowship" always ancillary to the local golf association.
  • U17 EAGLES CHAMPIONSHIP

    Of the many players who have been in this event, numerous have joined the ranks of professional golf. Under 17 Eagles Boys and Girls Championship's format is for a total field of 60 players, 48 nominated players and 12 invited promising local players from the Host Society.
  • EAGLES SOCIETY

    We are a group of men and women who have a love of the game and wish to see it grow and flourish, with some 1450 members.

Dear Fellow Eagles,

We am saddened to report the passing of Bridget Brownie following a long illness in Dunedin.  We are sure you will join the executive in sending our deepest sympathy to Peter, former national secretary/treasurer (2010-2011), and a past president and secretary of the Eagles Golfing Society of Otago.

We are delighted to congratulate the New Zealand women's golf team which has won the Astor Trophy, beating Australia in the final.
The team contains two of our former young Golfers of the Year - Julianne Alvarez (2009) and Amelia Garvey (2016). Well done, girls!
